Evelyn is one of the most sought-after Brazilian Zouk artist, dance instructor, and choreographer in the world.
In 2006 she was confronted with her destiny “Brazilian Zouk”, where she fell in love with the dance which has been her passion ever since. Over the years, while studying and working abroad within her professional dance career, Evelyn has performed and taught in more than 30 countries all over the world. Evelyn partnered with many prolific Zouk leaders like Pasty, Adilio Porto, Mafie Zouker, Xandy Liberato and many more at international congresses.
According to Evelyn, dancing Zouk is, “Surrendering in the moment with a balanced mental and physical state, combining creativity through inner-beauty, while existing in harmony with the music”.
Evelyn embodies a unique approach to dance – an art of moving, expressing and interpreting the music internally, and from your heart. Her talents inspire dancers around the world to express their dance from their souls.
15 years as a professional Zouk dancer, Evelyn is still sharing her love and passion for the dance – now gratefully combining the beauty of being in love with her forever thankful, inspirational and beloved husband Derrick, who has also been breakdancing for over 20 years.
Over the past year Evelyn has been working to put together her life’s work into a project that has been cultivating “Flow-ers” online. She offers an intensive course that covers the depth and scope of Evelyn’s unique approach to dance and Brazilian Zouk called “Foundations of Flow”. The training she provides is for dancers who are seeking to connect with their inner beauty and find freedom in their flow. She also offers live weekly online classes inside “The Flow-ers Garden” for those who wish to train with her on a regular basis.
