Oksana is the team director and event organizer. She is the cofounder of Mambo Flames located in San Jose, and team director of Tania Cannarsa SF.
Oksana Klimashkina was born in Moscow, Russia. She started her dance and music career at the age of 6 with ballet classes and a music school. At the age of 12, she began to study ballroom dancing in the Latin American program and continued her education at a music school. Oksana was first introduced to salsa at the age of 19 when she started dancing Afro-Cuban, Rueda and LA-style Salsa.
In Moscow, Oksana studied and performed with many dance troupes, and also continued to study, taking many lessons and attending salsa festivals. Oksana moved to the USA in 2015 where she decided to continue her studies in Mambo style (Salsa New York). In 2018, Oksana graduated from the Broadway Dance School with a degree in Modern Theatre, after which she decided to open the Women's Project team under the guidance of the well-known artist and her coach Tania Cannarsa.
Over the years, Oksana has continued her educational journey with different dancing styles (Mambo, Afro, Jazz, Heels, Contemporary ) and worked with masters as Tania Cannarsa, Adolfo Indacochea, Jessica Quiles, Eddie Torres, Sue Sammuel, Sekou Miller. She completed the Mambo Teacher Training Program with Maestro Adolfo Indacochea and began teaching Mambo Basics Classes, Partner work, Women's Style Salsa New York Classes, Body Movement Classes and Fusion Classes.
Oksana also has 3 different dance projects. “Empire Mambo San Francisco” partnerwork team under the guidance of well known artist Adolfo Indacochea, Tania Cannarsa San Francisco Ladies team under the guidance world artist Tania Cannarsa and Solo project "Oksana K".
