Carlitos is more than just a dancer—he is a passionate artist with a global vision. With roots in Colombia, training in Germany, and a growing presence in the United States, his multicultural background allows him to connect with diverse communities and bring a unique energy to his classes and workshops.
After years of dance experience and learning from top Bachata European artists, Carlitos arrived in the U.S. with a clear mission: to blend diverse influences and enrich the bachata scene with a dynamic and modern approach. His vision, Modern Bachata Fusion, celebrates the evolution of dance while preserving the essence and connection that make bachata special.
The Arizona Takeover – Building a Thriving Dance Community
Just months after arriving in Arizona, his end-of-year 2024 tour became a milestone in the local dance scene. Through dedication and teamwork, alongside his growing community [IG @carlitos.jk], dance group [IG @bachatasensualphoenix], and students [IG @phoenixbachatadance], he has contributed to the expansion of bachata in the region, with a goal to continue this growth into 2025 and beyond.
Competitor, Organizer & Cultural Ambassador
Carlitos has competed in Jack and Jill competitions and was recognized as Student of the Year at one of Germany’s most prestigious bachata schools. In addition to sharing the stage with renowned international artists, he is also a co-owner of one of Germany’s largest bachata festivals, demonstrating his ability to unite communities and elevate the dance scene on a global scale.

Beyond teaching, Carlitos is dedicated to inspiring others to grow on the dance floor. His authenticity, strong social media presence, and innovative approach have positioned him as a rising figure in the global bachata community.

After making an impact in Arizona and the West Coast, Carlitos’ vision for 2025 is to continue expanding the reach of bachata, creating new learning opportunities, and positioning Modern Bachata Fusion on both national and international platforms.
